This intensive one-day course is designed to provide an in-depth, overview focussing specifically on the process of cell assembly.
It covers the process of making lithium-ion cells and gives you first-hand experience of this production on our Industrial Scale-up Line here at UKBIC.
Our deep dive training is run for groups of three or more on dates to meet your needs. If you enrol three or more attendees we will contact you to arrange a suitable date.
The course will run from 09:00 - 16:00: Breakfast is served from 08:30 and lunch will also be provided. Teas and coffees will be available throughout the session.

Course structure
This course is delivered on site at UKBIC and comprises a mix of classroom teaching and a detailed tour of the facility.

- Clean and dry room environments and protocols
- Electrode processing, slitting and formats
- Cylindrical cell assembly in detail
- Pouch cell assembly in detail
- Lineside checks, quality and the challenges of scale-up
