This intensive one-day course is designed to provide an in-depth overview focussing on the process of electrode manufacture.
It covers the process of making electrode for lithium-ion cells and gives you first-hand experience of this production on our Industrial Scale-up Line here at UKBIC.
Our deep dive training is run for groups of three or more on dates to meet your needs. If you enrol three or more attendees we will contact you to arrange a suitable date.
The course will run from 09:00 - 16:00: Breakfast is served from 08:30 and lunch will also be provided. Teas and coffees will be available throughout the session.

Course structure
This course is delivered on site at UKBIC and comprises a mix of classroom teaching and a detailed tour of the facility.
Learning coverage
You will learn about:
- The electrode manufacturing processes
- Clean and dry room environments and protocols
- Key stages of the process including material handling, dosing and mixing
- Lineside measurement and testing
- Coating setup and technologies
- Coating defects and quality
- Calendering processes and quality inspection
There will also be a Q&A session with our specialist staff.
