The organisation was assessed for its approach to quality planning across the organisation.

To achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification, UKBIC, which provides battery manufacturing scale-up and facilitates upskilling in the battery sector, was initially audited in May 2021. It then went through a second audit in December 2021, before certification was granted in February 2022.

Dr Ahmad Mohsseni, UKBIC’s Chief Technology Officer, added:

UKBIC has been created to support UK industry with development of battery technologies for future electrification.
