Technical Trainer

About the role:


UKBIC are looking to recruit a Technical Trainer to deliver training to both external clients and internal associates, this role will be focused on external delivery as a priority with some delivery of internal material as required. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and development of all training materials along with the creation of the training materials in conjunction with the Learning & Development (L&D) Team and technical experts. 


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities 

  • Delivery of all external and internal training including but not limited to: 
  • Induction. 
  • Hazardous Voltage training.
  • Standard Work Instruction training. 
  • External projects. 
  • Wellbeing training. 
  • 5S/Kaizen training. 
  • Health & Safety training. 
  • Operations training. 
  • Bespoke training for Customers. 
  • Supporting the L&D Team to create training materials. 
  • Including new and emerging technology. 
  • Supporting the Learning Designer and Developer with continuous improvement of training materials. 
  • Feedback collation and actions from training sessions. 
  • Competency Matrix sign-off support. 
  • Support with SWI creation and continuous improvement with an L&D viewpoint. 
  • Delivery and support of online or face-to-face delivery environment. 
  • Work closely with the L&D Coordinator for management and booking of internal and external courses. 
  • Explore opportunities for creating new course material including new methods and tools for delivery. 
  • Monitor and review existing training materials and resources to ensure that they are effective and up to date and relevant with the Learning Designer and Developer. 
  • Awareness and development of new/latest technology, techniques and programming that require adding to course material (industry relevant). 
  • Complete projects as directed by the Head of L&D. 
  • Mentoring and supporting trainees during working hours. 
  • Support the L&D Team with Apprenticeship and Graduate management. 
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested. 

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • Previously delivered training/education as a focus of their role. ï»¿
  • Ability to prioritise their own workload. 
  • Ability to adapt delivery and content for internal and external delivery.

Desirable:


  • Previous experience of working in manufacturing. 
  • Training/Learning qualification. 
  • Train the Trainer qualification. 
  • Exposure to apprenticeships and graduates. 
  • Experience of educating within a new and emerging industry. 
  • Experience of delivering training to paying clients.
