Quality Technician (part-time FTC)

About the role


The purpose of this role is to monitor and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs in accordance with customer-specific requirements, ISO 9001 and UKBIC IMS. Support the operations team to fulfil the demand of data capture, control of ‘Non- Non-Conforming Material’ reports and Process Auditing.



Key accountabilities and responsibilities


  • Supporting operations with data collection and product conformance.
  • Process audits against control plans, procedures, & work instructions.
  • Raise Non-Conformities and Deviations where applicable
  • Issue Level Zero’s for concern ‘Kick Off’.
  • When required by operations and quality support with in-line process measurements
  • Goods Inwards Inspection against supporting documentation
  • Raise rejection note against suppliers when appropriate


Knowledge, skills and experience


  • Engineering NVQ or equivalent professional experience.
  • Computer literate - Can use Excel and Outlook
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related engineering role
  • Experience in product measurement and data collection.
  • Audit experience is desirable.
